The Houston Outlaws stake their claim in the Overwatch League

The OpTic Gaming owned team rock green, black, and a set of pistols in their brand.

As the Overwatch League preseason in December approaches, we’re seeing more and more teams unveil their official colors and brands. If you’re used to the OpTic Gaming’s trademark green and black, you’ll easily recognize it in this new logo and McCree skin for the Houston Outlaws.

The Houston Outlaws will be representing Texas along with the Dallas Fuel, but their logo is a little grittier. Two pistols arranged like a longhorn skull is the perfect symbol for a group of players calling themselves ‘Outlaws’.

Speaking of players, the Houston Outlaws have announced their full roster for the first season of the Overwatch League:

Roster:

Austin “Muma” Wilmot
Matt “Coolmatt” Iorio
Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty
Lucas “Mendokusaii” Håkansson
Jiri “LiNkzr” Masalin
Daniel “Boink” Pence
Chris “Bani” Bennell
Jacob “JAKE” Lyon
Matt “Clockwork” Dias
Alexandre “SPREE” Vanhomwegen

Along with the players, the team boasts three coaches on staff: Taeyeong “TaiRong” Kim, Adam “MESR” De La Torre and Hyeonwoo “HyeonWoo” Kim. They’ll be joined by General Manager Matt “Flame” Rodriguez in keeping the Outlaws running.

“We’re excited for the Houston Outlaws to join the Green Wall family,” said owner and CEO Hector Rodriguez, who was born in El Paso, in a press statement. “All of our fans live to compete—to be louder than everyone else and to deafen the competition with our skilled play and enthusiasm. The Houston Outlaws will continue our historical dominance in esports and introduce a new meaning of ‘community’ to our fans in Texas.”

The Overwatch League is set to begin a preseason in December, with the first full season starting in early 2018.
