Day two of the Overwatch World Cup is underway and it’s time for the top four teams to face off for a shot at the Finals.
Day one of the Blizzcon Stage of the tournament gave us some incredible series as some of the world’s best teams faced off. The day started off with its only clean sweep, as Sweden took down the United Kingdom. Next up was a tense battle between Canada and Australia that went down to the final map as Canada completed the reverse sweep to win 3-2. These two series winning countries, Canada and Sweden, will face off in the first of today’s semifinal matches.
The second half of the day started with France handling China easily with a 3-1 win in their match up. The final match of day one was one of the tournament’s most anticipated series as South Korea took on the United States. The series was close, but after the US missed a capture on Hanamura by razor thin margins and the map ended i a draw, it was all South Korea from them on as they took the series 3-1. South Korea will take on France in the second of today’s semifinals.
