We finally know the opening match ups at Blizzcon for the Overwatch World Cup

South Korea and the United States will take each other on in the first round!

Blizzard Entertainment

After four weeks of qualifications let us know which eight teams would be headed to Blizzcon, Blizzard finally released the bracket details what the first round of matches would be for the 2017 Overwatch World Cup.

Most interesting among these match ups is the fact that two of the world’s highest seeded team, North America and South Korea, will play each other in round number one. It’s odd to see one of the most anticipated and hoped for clashes of the entire tournament in the first round, but it is a good way to guarantee that both teams meet each other.

On the other side of the bracket, one of the tournament favorites, Sweden, will be taking on a United Kingdom team that surprised everyone with their clean and precise play, coming out on top of their Group without dropping a single map.

On that same side of the bracket, China and France, both incredibly strong teams, will be taking each other on as well. The final match up will be between two teams that came into their groups as slight underdogs as Canada takes on Australia.

These matches will be played in Anaheim, California at Blizzard’s annual Blizzcon Convention on November 3rd and 4th.
