The team has had a vocal social media presence since it was announced earlier this year, but this is the first time that we know what exactly the team brand will be. We also have a few staffing announcements from the team including the head coach, Brad “Sephy” Rajani, who was formerly a coach for the San Francisco Shock.
This announcement is the first details we’ve gotten about any of the Overwatch League’s upcoming eight expansion teams. The new teams, which will have their home cities based out of Atlanta, Vancouver, Toronto, Washington D.C., as well as Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Chengdu, China and Paris, France. While we don’t currently have details on any of those teams, we should be expecting announcements from them in the days and weeks ahead. Toronto is set to unveil their brand in a local event at Berkeley Church on October 24, 2018.
