Blizzard Entertainment released Overwatch’s newest map, the Escort-style map Havana, on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on Tuesday, May 7. It’s the second new map to hit Overwatch this year, following Paris.
Havana has been playable on Overwatch public test servers on PC since mid-April, and players who worked their way through the recent Storm Rising co-op mission on all platforms have experienced the Cuban map for the past few weeks. Havana is now playable in quick play and other Overwatch game modes, with the exception of competitive.
Here’s Blizzard’s official description of the game’s new map:
Havana is a new Escort map set in the region where one of the infamous members of Talon’s council, Maximilien, operated. For a time, this shadowy organization plagued the local populace with their corruption and crime. Eventually, an Overwatch Strike team was deployed to extract Maximilien with the purpose of gaining intel on a mysterious Talon counterpart, Doomfist.
In addition to the new map, two new All-Star skins are available for Mercy and Lucio. The game’s recently released Workshop mode is not part of today’s update.
